Lost City of Barakus (AD&D 3.5)
At last report Falco's fanatics were trekking across the windy frozen landscape, (do you wana build a snowman?) no one was building snowmen. These are wild lands and the creatures that wander this land are nasty. So far the group has encountered:
Wolf like creatures with freezing breath; which repeatedly rushed to their death attacking the group.
Wraths attacked one night, apparently taking a dislike to our making camp on their grave site.
A frost giant and after successfully defeating it when it viciously attack the group, like some wandering meal. It was decided to track it back to it's lair. On the way we happen to meet another frost giant, this one a female(it's mate?). She too proved unfriendly and is now deceased. We think we are getting close, but who knows.
Then, like some unheeded warning, the group was attacked by a huge purple? snow worm. It shook the ground as it approached(giving warning) bursting forth near the rear of the group to attack. In the usual enthusiastic spontaneous frontal attack mode, the group fought back. The worm took a liking to Bob the Barbarian so much it swallowed him whole! Not too bright one should always chew or at least kill a meal first otherwise it may, like Bob, start cutting it's way out from the inside. Meanwhile the rest of the group was busy cutting their way into the thing. It died shortly after, bob emerged, slightly digested.
What will happen next, will the trek to the frost giant lair continue, or will the group loss interest and resume to the original destination?
